Firstly I coloured a piece of white BasicGrey card with barn door & festive berries DI's then edged the card with a little walnut stain. I overstamped lightly with a PaperArtsy script stamp & flourish with smokey gray Versafine ink. Sprayed the piece with a splattering of worn lipstick (re-inker) & dried. I cut the frame with my trusty Silhouette (I have to keep on the right side of it or else!) & adhered to the red card. Then I made a dozen different embellishments that were rubbish & opted for the butterfly cut from the Silhouette. The base of it was stamped with the PaperArtsy script then coloured with walnut stain & sprayed with heirloom gold Perfect Pearls. The upper part was stamped with the script. I added a brass key to the centre of the butterfly. Lastly I stamped a PaperArtsy word (FLY) on a scrap of TH kraft card & attached it behind a TH ornate plate. Phew! I must learn to make these posts shorter.
ah looks like Mr Mojo is still with you, this is a strikingly stunning card! Thanks for joining in with the Sunday sTamper... see you soon! x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. This is a fab card and I love the key and plate. I just love everything with a butterfly on. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. ReplyDeleteWell it was worth persevering with - love the white frame over the top of the shaded red and the key on the butterfly. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue - Lovely to meet you today and I love your Sunday Stamper entry- and yes I certainly do get blips where something gets-'spoiled right at the end'!They are supposed to be 'happy accidents'but it doesn't always work like that!
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly not on your own Sue, it happens to all of us I am sure - well me anyway! Love your creation, you may be a bit late but it was worth waiting for, it is quite beautiful, especially the butterfly. I think I may be your latest follower. Crafty hugs, Anne x
